Second Post

Hi all , still trying to figure out all this stuff ! Fall is sort of here in South West Florida and I am looking forward to the "cooler" weather , this summer was brutal ! Also cant wait to get to the Tampa Bay Veg fest coming up Nov 12 th . Its a smallish Vegetarian food festival , compared to some, like the on in Boston, that was just last week , they pack them in there year after year. This past year I was luck enough to get to the one in Worcester Mass , but also got to work it with my (yes Vegan !) kid at the FoMu  table , giving out some vegan ice cream samples and helping sell some vegan pastries , it was a great time , and felt good to get out and be with the community there . Its not easy being vegan in South West Florida , as we lack in so many things in the way of restaurants and stores  etc ... Here:s hoping for a great fall and lots of great vegan eats! Next time , lets talk  about Thanksgiving! What a tough day!

Starting out

First entry...everyone is blogging... part of me thinks its too much, all this self promotion..but actually I think it is pretty cool ... As my name says I am 50 yrs old and Vegan ... This blog I would like to use as a sounding board for other older vegans, to share experiences, family situations , restaurants around the country (I am in SWFL which I an not finding to me too veg friendly..please correct me if you think I am wrong ) . And recipes ! Yes Recipes !  Well, my battery is low ... so I will  finish up for today ... will post soon , I am new to vegan baking (about a year or so in ) so, maybe next time I will dive right in to my adventures in  non professional vegan baking  Namaste dear friends (which at this point I am sure I am just writing to myself !)
